Cupcakes for my grandson the One-der kid. His first birthday theme is "If you ain't first, your last. So in honor of Ricky Bobby himself the cupcakes are a Wonderrbread theme. The chocolate balls on the tops of the cupcakes are actually filled with M&Ms. #JustLikeHatties

After spending the day with my Grandson on his first birthday, I came home to start the prep wok for his smash cake for his party on Saturday. Homemade Fondant, it's not for the whole cake, just the decorations, but it tastes so much better than the mass produced stuff you normally get on cakes. #JustLikeHatties

In honor of National Banana Split Day here are some banana Split Macarons. They are banana shells, with a ring vanilla bean butter cream, and a strawberry jam center. Did you know that the banana split was invented in 1904 at a pharmacy in Latrobe, PA. #JustLikeHatties

In honor of National Custard Day, I give you the Charlette Russe. This was a special dessert that My Great-Grandma Hattie would make, and I took over making on Easter for the white family. This is a cooked custard dessert with a fluffy layer that is formed by shipped egg whites.
