Today is National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day, to honor the classic sweet treat invented by Ruth Graves Wakefield August 4, 1938. So let's talk chocolate chip cookies.
There are so many variations of chocolate chip cookies, and everyone has their most favorite. Some like them thin and crisp. Others soft and fluffy. Some people prefer them just slightly under cooked (Not Recommended per food safety standards). Personally, my favorite are soft and chewy, with a slight caramel flavor from being made with more brown sugar than white.
What's your ideal chocolate chip cookie? Leave a comment. If I can get at least 5 comments between both Facebook pages and Instagram, then I will give away a dozen chocolate chip cookies to the winner of a random draw of the comments left.
